The extension of the Lutherschule Grammar School in Hannover has resulted in a forward-looking educational building that combines contemporary architecture, sustainable construction, and pedagogical flexibility. Located in close proximity to Engelbosteler Damm, the five-storey new build, offering approximately 2,350 m² of usable space, complements the existing school grounds. This enables all year groups to be taught at a single site once again. The modular, open-plan structure of the building creates versatile learning environments that can adapt to evolving teaching methods.
Particular emphasis during the construction was placed on environmental considerations: a large-scale photovoltaic system on the roof provides renewable energy for on-site consumption.
As part of the interior fit-out, the Lindner Group was responsible for the supply and installation of both functional and aesthetically high-quality ceiling systems.
In the entrance area, the LMD-L 601 baffle ceiling was installed, meeting acoustic requirements and highlighting the open, modern design of the foyer. The gaps between the louvres also allowed for the integration of lighting systems.
In the corridors from floors 0 to 4, the LMD-E 312 metal ceiling ensures a clear visual structure and efficient technical accessibility. Its hook-on-swin-down-slide design allows for easy, tool-free inspections and maintenance – a practical benefit for the day-to-day operation of the school.
In the functional rooms, the LMD-St 213 expanded metal ceiling was used. Its flexibly configurable design allows for custom layouts and simplifies maintenance.
