As part of a comprehensive renovation of an administrative building in the Hulb commercial area in Böblingen, modern open-plan office spaces were created that meet the requirements of contemporary working environments. The objective was to provide flexible retreat spaces for focused individual work and undisturbed meetings – without compromising the openness of the office layout.
Room-in-room systems of the Lindner Cube type were installed and seamlessly integrated into the open office landscape. The Cubes effectively shield users from external influences such as noise and visual distractions, creating optimal conditions for focused work and confidential discussions.
A combination of wood and glass elements ensures a balanced interplay between transparency and privacy. Depending on the specific requirements, the room-in-room systems were equipped with acoustic doors or fire-rated doors, thus meeting both acoustic and safety-related demands in modern office construction.
To ensure a comfortable and energy-efficient indoor climate in the open office areas, Plafotherm® DS 320 heated and chilled ceilings were installed. The system provides uniform temperature control across the workspaces and makes a significant contribution to thermal comfort and the building’s overall energy efficiency.
The successful spatial and climate concept was also implemented during the redesign of the executive office areas at the Sindelfingen headquarters.
