With the new Innovation Centre at its headquarters in Haag, Switzerland, the VAT Group is making a strong statement about its leading position in the field of high-precision vacuum valves. Covering over 12,000 m² across four floors, the building houses specialised testing and application laboratories, modern office space, and a staff restaurant – all under one roof.
A particular focus was placed on sustainability: the building operates with 100 % CO₂ neutrality and holds the LEED Gold sustainability certification. VAT is thereby creating not only space for innovation but also for responsible, future-oriented construction.
The Lindner Group was responsible for the high-specification cleanroom fit-out of the Innovation Centre and supplied a comprehensive system package that meets the highest technical requirements. Lindner also took charge of designing and planning the ventilation concept – a key component in ensuring compliance with the high cleanroom standards.
The Variodata wall system impressed with its high level of flexibility and ease of relocation – ideal for evolving room layouts and technical needs in the microelectronics sector. Thanks to its modular design, changes to the room structure can be implemented quickly and efficiently. This system wall enables clean and adaptable spatial design within the new Innovation Centre.
Various door systems were installed to ensure safe and controlled access: the Slide MOP sliding doors, with their hygienic design and automated control, enable touch-free entry – an important contribution to particle safety. The Swing Variodata door system offers additional flexibility in airlock areas and can be equipped with electronic components such as airlock controls and access management systems.
In the ceiling area, the Line 55A system was installed. The aluminium grid system impresses with its narrow face width and the option of integrating filter fan units (FFUs) and LED lights. The combination of efficient air filtration and uniform lighting creates optimal cleanroom conditions for research and manufacturing.
The furnishings in the staff airlocks were also supplied by Lindner.
