With the DonauTower, Ingolstadt gains a modern landmark that impressively unites tradition and progress. Situated at a central crossroads, the 57-metre-high building stands out prominently within the cityscape, forming a bridge between the historic old town and the dynamic, modern districts to the south. Covering 12,500 m², the development offers flexible, light-flooded office and retail spaces whose architecture sets new standards for work environments, sustainability, and design.
As the new headquarters of Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Bayern Mitte, the DonauTower provides future-oriented working environments featuring open spaces, quiet zones, and innovative building technology. Around 400 employees will be accommodated across 13 floors, with half of the space available for external tenants. A particular focus has been placed on sustainability: photovoltaic systems, electric vehicle charging points, and green roof gardens with beehives highlight the commitment to CO₂ reduction and biodiversity. The project is being constructed with the goal of achieving DGNB Gold certification, ensuring an environmentally responsible and sustainable building.
The Lindner Group has played a key role in shaping the character of the DonauTower through its interior fit-out expertise. Lindner Plafotherm® DS 320 heated and chilled canopy ceilings have been installed on almost every floor complemented by plasterboard ceiling heating systems on selected levels. These systems ensure a consistent and energy-efficient indoor climate through radiant heating and cooling.
This is complemented by approximately 10,000 m² of the FLOOR and more® raised floor system, providing not only a solid foundation for flexible room layouts but also maximum versatility for discreetly integrating technical infrastructure.
For retreat and meeting areas, 21 Lindner CAS Rooms in various configurations have been installed. These modular room-in-room solutions create acoustically insulated zones within open-plan offices – ideal for meetings, confidential discussions, or focused work.
Transparency and communicative spatial structures have also been achieved through the Lindner Life Pure 620 glazed partition walls. Additional metal wall absorbers further enhance room acoustics, ensuring a pleasant and productive working environment.
