After more than two decades in Parkstadt Schwabing, the Interhyp Group, Germany’s largest private mortgage broker, has moved into its new headquarters in Munich’s Werksviertel. Around 650 employees from various locations now enjoy a modern working environment in the innovative i8 office building at iCampus, that combines communication, flexibility, and sustainability.
Spanning 9,000 m², the new headquarters offers generous meeting zones, flexible conference rooms, and an auditorium for events, as well as quiet areas, phone booths, and individual workstations. The concept is complemented by coffee points, a large communal kitchen, and a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the Alps.
Sustainability is an integral part of the concept: a green-lease agreement ensures ongoing energy savings and an optimised environmental footprint. The i8 also impresses with its innovative timber-hybrid construction, which produces around 50 % less CO₂ than conventional building methods.
To meet the high demands for flexibility, acoustics, and sustainability, S+W BüroRaumKultur implemented CAS Rooms Set room-in-room systems in the interior design. These modular, freestanding rooms complement the open-plan office landscape, providing spaces for focused work or confidential conversations without any structural modifications.
With highly effective acoustics, integrated LED lighting, and an independent four-stage ventilation system, CAS Rooms create optimal conditions for both concentrated work and team communication. The textile surfaces harmonise with the overall architectural concept of the i8, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
On the 4th and 5th floors, various CAS Rooms Set modules were installed in sizes of 1.0 m × 1.2 m, 2.0 m × 1.2 m, and 2.4 m × 2.4 m. The flexible systems allow for a variety of spatial configurations, offering both retreat areas and spaces for interaction.
In terms of sustainability, CAS Rooms Set aligns perfectly with the building’s philosophy: the reusability, ease of assembly, and possibility of refurbishing the elements promote circularity and resource conservation - a clear advantage in line with Interhyp’s green-lease objectives.
