New Office Building Lybra, Via Confalonieri 29

Located between the Porta Nuova business district and the creative Isola neighbourhood, the Lybra project marks a new milestone in Milanese architecture. Designed by the renowned architectural firm Park Associati, the complex offers modern workspaces across approximately 5,700 m² and spans six floors.

At the heart of the building is the “Green Void”, a light-filled vertical space with tropical vegetation, a skylight, and a striking wooden staircase connecting all levels. This biophilic concept enhances well-being, promotes visual openness, and optimises acoustic comfort – supported by the use of natural materials. The impressive architecture is completed by a panoramic terrace on the fifth floor, offering unparalleled views of the Biblioteca degli Alberi park, one of Porta Nuova’s iconic landmarks.

The building also sets benchmarks in sustainability: the generously glazed facade with integrated photovoltaic modules generates clean energy while maintaining architectural elegance. Passive shading and natural ventilation systems complement the energy concept, which is certified according to LEED and WELL standards.

Innovative Ceiling Systems for Optimal Indoor Climate

For Lybra, the Lindner Group supplied a customised Plafotherm® DS 320 heated and chilled canopy ceiling, executed in a project-specific design. These metal canopy ceiling panels feature an open, delicate structure that ensures a comfortable indoor climate through radiant and convective heat while providing high sound absorption. The large-format ceiling panels are flexible in their arrangement, and the free space between the panels allows independent attachment of lighting and technical installations. Moreover, the individual panels can be dismantled quickly and without tools, simplifying maintenance and accessibility.

Complementing these are AirBox S supply air elements, discreetly integrated into the back of the ceiling systems, ensuring a uniform and pleasant flow of fresh air. The combination of both systems creates a technically and aesthetically high-quality solution that optimises the indoor climate while harmoniously integrating into the building’s overall architectural concept.
