At a cruising speed of 22 knots, the AIDAluna sails across the world’s oceans. The cruise ship is part of AIDA Cruises’ successful Sphinx class and was delivered to the shipping company in 2009. Her sister ships are the AIDAbella and the AIDAdiva. Building on the experience with this series, the modified Sphinx class was developed, offering even more space for wellness and spa areas. The AIDAluna impresses with 55 steel blocks and a hull weight of nearly 25,000 tons. Guests can enjoy the spacious wellness area, the sun deck with three pools, and the central Theatrium, while 1,025 passenger cabins, including suites with private whirlpools, provide the highest level of comfort.
For the interior outfitting of the Aida Bar & Aida Lounge on Deck 10, Lindner delivered a comprehensive complete interior package. This included wall and ceiling cladding, floor coverings, plaster and lightweight ceilings, metal ceilings, built-in furniture and custom-made furnishings, upholstered furniture, column and lightweight cladding, metal shells, doors including B15 fire protection, and inspection hatches. Lindner’s own products, such as COMPlacq aluminum lightweight panels, were also used. In the bar and lounge areas, Lindner relied on tailor-made custom solutions that perfectly combine design, functionality, and safety, creating an exclusive ambiance.
With this combination of high-quality materials, innovative lightweight solutions, and custom-made furniture, Lindner demonstrates its expertise in ship interior construction. All work meets the highest safety standards while creating spaces that are both functional and stylish. The AIDAluna is a prime example of how Lindner efficiently, elegantly, and precisely realizes sophisticated interior spaces on cruise ships.
