Berkeley Square House

Directly on Berkeley Square, one of London's most famous places, is the modern office building Berkeley Square House. The building offers a considerable view of extensive green spaces and numerous trees. But not only the location is appealing – a spacious reception area, a sandwich and coffee bar, a fitness room and much more make Berkeley Square House the perfect home for many business people.

Overbury, a specialist in office refurbishment and fit-out, appointed Lindner Interiors to supply and install Lindner fire-rated ceilings. This makes the project the first in the UK to incorporate Lindner fire resistant ceiling systems. The LMD fire rated metal ceiling EI30 Hook-On-Swing-Down-Slide was installed throughout the corridors. In case of any fire, the ceiling guarantees a full 30 minutes of fire resistance and thus allows a safe escape route. In addition, architects MCM and HK Architects Ltd, together with Overbury, took the opportunity to add versatile luminaire solutions to the ceiling system. After the installation was completed, the Lindner team delivered a training day on site for the companies involved in the project: This covered the removal of the fire-resistant ceiling system and access to the ceiling void. With this and the added installation guidance, the owners are now well prepared for future maintenance work or conversions.
