The Bergson Kunstkraftwerk, a former heating power station from the year 1937, has evolved into a vibrant cultural mega-project in the west of Munich. The conversion into a cultural centre is being carried out carefully, taking into account the protection of historical monuments, with a particular focus on preserving the historical context and character of the building. The result is a new venue that offers both high culture and subculture, culinary delights and art, creating a unique mix. In April, several areas were already opened, including a daytime bar, a fine dining restaurant, and the art gallery. The opening of the concert hall is scheduled for October 2024.
For Lindner, the project includes the expansion of various areas such as the concert hall, the foyer, and the jazz cellar. Special attention is being paid to the concert hall. For this area, individually manufactured wall sound absorbers, concert hall chairs, and wall coverings made of steel are being realised by the Lindner Interior Fit-out and Furnishings team, to provide a tailored solution that perfectly combines function and aesthetic appeal. Additionally, the concert hall will be equipped with Lindner's innovative FLOOR and more® arena hollow floor system which can be executed in various heights and step variations.
