IT Department As a Pilot Project
The Fielmann AG is one of the largest optician chains in Europe. Its headquarters are located in a multi-storey office building in Hamburg Barmbek. More than 1,100 employees work here in various administrative departments – including the company's own IT department. The latter was selected as a pilot project for the redesign: A modern working environment focused on collaboration, communication and productivity has been created on 1,000 m².
Agile Working Concept
The office concept designed by Design2sense is all about New Work. Increasingly digital, international and connected processes and not least the pandemic demand for an adapted working environment. Fielmann AG addresses this by giving its employees the opportunity to write evaluations and experience reports about the new office surroundings. Those are then evaluated and incorporated into the design of the other spaces.
Innovative Fit-out
Lindner was involved in the implementation of the project e. g. with drylining works, carpentry, painting and flooring work, as well as the installation of the sanitary facilities. Lindner also supplied and installed acoustically effective canopy ceilings, glass partition systems and doors. The flexible room design is complemented by three different "telephone booths". Among them a CAS Room, a product development in collaboration of Carpet Concept and GiB Gesellschaft für innovative Bautechnologie mbH. However, the centre of the new office space is the lounge with an integrated kitchen and seating stairs made of oak – the space is separated from the open working areas by wooden slats.
