Description

Project: GMS Vaterstetten
Description:

The Karlheinz Böhm School in Vaterstetten near Munich combines an elementary school and a secondary school under one roof. To be more precise, the building complex is divided into three-story structures that are arranged slightly offset from each other in a U-shape. A continuous main corridor not only connects the building sections with each other, but also leads to a triple gymnasium with an adjoining swimming pool. Lindner produced, supplied and installed almost 250 interior wood doors as well as several hundred square meters of wall paneling, cabinet systems and built-in furniture in matching oak veneer or white HPL decor. The doors in the corridors and classrooms meet all fire and sound insulation requirements. As experts for special designs, Lindner was commissioned for large-scale, mobile partition solutions that open the music rooms to the auditorium. For the wall cladding in the entrance area and in the auditorium, the fire-protection-tested, real wood veneered Lindner FIREwood wall panels in building material class A2 were chosen. They are also made of oak to match the other wooden elements in the assembly hall.
